Devon is a favourite among UK holidaymakers, and it’s easy to see why. With the likes of the Jurassic Coast, market towns such as Okehampton on the Dartmoor border and things to do like the Tanka Trail, thousands of visitors flock here every year.

If you’re looking for lodges with hot tubs in Devon that are close to wetlands to explore, sand dunes to play with the family or Blue Flag beaches to swim and surf, Devon is where you need to be booking your hot tub getaway.

Our site is dedicated to accommodation with private hot tubs in the best parts of the UK. This guide includes our favourite hot tub lodge in Devon (after digging through details of over 100 in the local area), and a holiday guide covering what to do when you visit here.

Our Favourite Hot Tub Lodge in Devon

You’ve chosen Devon as the perfect place for your hot tub hideaway, but now you’re overwhelmed by the choice? And it’s not just lodges. There are log cabins, yurts, houses, barn conversions and more. Even if you know what type of accommodation you want, where, exactly, is the best place to go?

We scoured over 200 holiday lodges in Devon that include a hot tub. To do that, we used popular booking sites like Hoseasons, Holiday Cottages, Expedia and Sykes Cottages.

There, we compared size, prices, reviews from holidaymakers and things to do in the local area.

With the facts in hand we decided on our pick, the one we’d choose to book if we were planning to use a hot tub lodge for our break in Devon.

Things to Do in the Devon

Babbacombe Model Village

If you’re looking for something completely unique that all the family can enjoy, we’d suggest heading to the Babbacombe Model Village.

Set in around 4 acres of stunning scenery, it’s home to around 400 of the most impressive models that the UK has to offer, including a 1,000ft model train track!

The basis of the Babbacombe Model Village is a fictional town, yet it does draw on some UK landmarks; The Shard and Stonehenge being two of the most prolific.

Tarka Trail (Braunton to Meeth)

Hot tub breaks in Devon are perfect for those that are looking to experience the very best of the outdoors in the UK. And one of the UK’s gems for outdoor enthusiasts, is the Tarka Trail.

The Tarka Trail runs from Braunton to Meeth. It's an unused railway which has been tarmaced to provide the longest stretch of traffic-free cycling in the UK; over 30 miles in total. And that means it’s suitable for families and groups of all ages.

You can learn more about the Tarka Trail by visiting the Devon County Council website here.

Westward Ho!

Devon’s well known for being home to some of the most epic coastline that the UK has to offer. With that comes plenty of scenic country walks, but surfing and swimming too.

Looking to get into the water? We’d suggest heading down to Westward Ho!. The surf here is big enough to learn, but not so big that you or your kids will be overwhelmed.

In need of lessons? We’d suggest heading to North Devon Surf School, who operate directly from Westward Ho! Beach.
