Things to Do in the Devon

Babbacombe Model Village

If you’re looking for something completely unique that all the family can enjoy, we’d suggest heading to the Babbacombe Model Village.

Set in around 4 acres of stunning scenery, it’s home to around 400 of the most impressive models that the UK has to offer, including a 1,000ft model train track!

The basis of the Babbacombe Model Village is a fictional town, yet it does draw on some UK landmarks; The Shard and Stonehenge being two of the most prolific.

Tarka Trail (Braunton to Meeth)

Hot tub breaks in Devon are perfect for those that are looking to experience the very best of the outdoors in the UK. And one of the UK’s gems for outdoor enthusiasts, is the Tarka Trail.

The Tarka Trail runs from Braunton to Meeth. It's an unused railway which has been tarmaced to provide the longest stretch of traffic-free cycling in the UK; over 30 miles in total. And that means it’s suitable for families and groups of all ages.

You can learn more about the Tarka Trail by visiting the Devon County Council website here.

Westward Ho!

Devon’s well known for being home to some of the most epic coastline that the UK has to offer. With that comes plenty of scenic country walks, but surfing and swimming too.

Looking to get into the water? We’d suggest heading down to Westward Ho!. The surf here is big enough to learn, but not so big that you or your kids will be overwhelmed.

In need of lessons? We’d suggest heading to North Devon Surf School, who operate directly from Westward Ho! Beach.
